Dr. Trish Perl is the Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases, endowed title of the Jay P Sanford Professorship in Infectious Diseases at
University of Texas Southwestern, Internal Medicine Department. She is also has served as Professor of Medicine, Epidemiology and Pathology at Johns Hopkins, School of Medicine & Senior Epidemiologist at Johns Hopkins Health System, Chief of Infectious Diseases.

Dr. Perl attended the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, McGill University Faculty of Medicine, and Internal Medicine Fellowship at University of Iowa Medial Center.

She specializes in Infectious Diseases healthcare and research in antimicrobial resistance, C. difficile, healthcare associated infections, infection prevention and control, resistant gram negative infections, S. aureus infections, and surgical site infections.
